AMAZON DREAM

In 2006 Christiane Marzi and I collaborated on Amazon Dream. I developed the paper pieced design using Electric Quilt (see my EQ5 review), then Christiane and I pooled our stashes and hand dyed some fabric to develop the fabric palette. We only had to
purchase fabric for the dark blue background and the backing. Christiane and I did all of the sewing, Chantel Gardner, a local longarmer did the custom quilting using a variety of threads, then Christiane and I finished it up with a piped edge binding, Swarovski crystals, buttons, and beads.
Roger, Christiane's husband, gave the quilt its name. Because Christiane and I had such a great time making Amazon Dream, we are now working on
another EQ designed project!
2nd Place in the group category of the "Do You EQ?" contest. It will be on tour with a special exhibit of the prize winners for the next year.
