Nancy Rink Designs' hand-dyed fabrics are available in a variety of tantalizing colors and textures.  High quality cotton fabric and dyes are used to produce six step gradations, in either a crackle finish or semi-solid finish. Sizes include Fat Quarter bundles (18"x20") and Half Yard Bundles (18"x40"). Larger bundles can be custom ordered. The type of fabric used will be listed with each fat-quarter bundle. Pima cotton is a crisp fabric, similar to that used for batiks. It sews beautifully and is wonderful for regular piecing and paper piecing. Dyers cloth is a softer fabric and is well suited for hand applique.

Because of the dye process used, all fabric is preshrunk and prewashed using Synthrapol. However, it is possible that some residual dye may remain in the fabric.  Washing your fabric in warm water with a setting agent such at Retayne will help keep color from migrating. Remove from the dryer while still slightly damp and press. Due to the unique properties of small-batch hand-dyeing, color may vary slightly from batch to batch. Please keep this in mind when ordering fabric for your projects. Differences in computer monitors and operating systems can affect the hues represented on this web site.
